About the Role
We are seeking a Medical Physicist to support quantitative imaging and dosimetry activities across clinical development programs involving radiopharmaceutical therapies. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including medical physics, imaging science, clinical operations, and pharmaceutical industry partners.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development, implementation, and oversight of dosimetry methodologies used within clinical trials, helping to generate high-quality data that supports drug development and regulatory submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Perform patient-level dosimetry analyses for radiopharmaceutical clinical studies.
- Oversee secure image transfer processes and support image reconstruction workflows.
- Define and review imaging contours in collaboration with physicians and project teams.
- Quantify organ and tumour activity and perform dosimetry calculations in accordance with study requirements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, workflows, and best practices for dosimetry activities.
- Collaborate directly with sponsors, clinical research organisations, investigators, and internal stakeholders to address technical questions and project requirements.
- Develop imaging and dosimetry guidance documents, study manuals, and technical documentation.
- Prepare technical reports summarising methodologies, analyses, and study results, including tables, figures, and data visualisations.
- Perform quality control reviews of dosimetry calculations, reports, and supporting documentation generated by colleagues.
Additional Responsibilities
- Contribute to research and development initiatives focused on quantitative imaging and dosimetry.
- Support scientific publications, conference abstracts, and presentations.
- Participate in the development and validation of novel imaging and dosimetry methodologies.
Qualifications \& Experience
Required
- Degree in Medical Physics, Medical Dosimetry, Nuclear Medicine Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience in quantitative nuclear medicine imaging and/or radiopharmaceutical therapy dosimetry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and international teams.
Preferred
- Experience supporting clinical trials or clinical research studies.
- Familiarity with quality and regulatory frameworks applicable to medical devices and clinical research.
- Experience with Linux environments, Python, and medical imaging software platforms.
- Knowledge of 3D imaging and image analysis tools.
- Experience in radiopharmaceutical development, nuclear medicine, or theranostics.
