Medical Technologist - The Medical City Clinic (SM Manila)

I. Purpose of the Position

This role is responsible for carrying out laboratory tests and procedures and prepares necessary results.

II. Key Result Areas \| Duties and Responsibilities

A. Patient Care Administration

1\. Explains laboratory procedures to patients

2\. Checks specimens or samples as to their condition, acceptability, and appropriateness to the test

3\. Ensures safety and comfort of patients before and after collecting blood samples

B. Medical Efficiency

1\. Examines collected specimens or samples and identify any abnormalities

2\. Ensures accuracy of test results

C. Regulatory Compliance

1\. Adheres to regulatory requirements mandated by DOH

D. Administrative Efficiency

1\. Documents data of patients through charting

2\. Monitors inventory and ensures availability of related medical supplies

3\. Submits census report every month

4\. Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
