Mid Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a Project Manager to manage and support the delivery of software and digital transformation projects for the Oman Ministry of Education. The role will be responsible for coordinating project activities, following up with internal teams, managing stakeholders, tracking progress, and ensuring successful delivery within the agreed scope, timeline, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of software projects, from planning and requirements gathering to execution, monitoring, and go-live.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, QA, UI/UX Designers, and implementation teams.
• Act as the main point of contact between internal teams, stakeholders, partners, and the client.
• Track project progress, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Prepare and maintain project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and follow-up actions.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear communication across all project parties.
• Identify project risks and support in preparing mitigation plans.
• Ensure project deliverables are aligned with business requirements and quality expectations.
• Support resource planning and task prioritization with technical and business teams.
• Use project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or similar tools to track tasks and deliverables.

Qualifications \& Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4\+ years of experience in managing software, technology, or digital transformation projects.
• Experience in education, government, or large-scale implementation projects is preferred.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project delivery is preferred.
• Experience using project tracking tools such as Jira, MS Project, Trello, Asana, or similar tools.
• Good technical understanding of software platforms, integrations, cloud solutions, or modern development environments.
• Strong communication, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure.
• Arabic and English communication skills are required.
• Omani nationality is preferred; other nationalities may be considered based on experience and project fit.

Preferred Certifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or any project management certification is a plus.

Required Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience in project management, preferably in software, EdTech, government, or digital transformation projects.
