WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build iOS apps end-to-end — design, develop, test, and ship features in Swift (and Objective-C where required).

• Own your work — take features and modules from design through to release, with the level of autonomy that matches your experience.

• Design for scale — contribute to (or lead) architecture using patterns like MVVM and VIPER, and principles like SOLID and DRY.

• Integrate with the wider system — work closely with backend developers on RESTful APIs, authentication flows, and network states.

• Raise the bar — participate in and conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and uphold quality, performance, and security.

• Debug the tricky stuff — troubleshoot performance issues, bugs, and device/OS compatibility challenges.

• Collaborate across the team — work with product managers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and clients to turn ideas into shipped product.

• Keep learning — stay ahead of iOS trends and share what you learn.

• Mentor and lead where you can — support less-experienced developers as your own experience grows.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-haves:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — or provable, self-taught development skills.

• A track record of building and shipping iOS applications to the App Store.

• Proficiency in Swift, with working knowledge of Objective-C.

• Solid knowledge of the iOS SDK, Xcode, the iOS application lifecycle, and Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.

• Experience integrating RESTful APIs into mobile applications.

• Comfortable with Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Familiarity with App Store deployment and release management.

• Brilliant problem-solving abilities across product, process, and technical angles.

• The ability to clearly articulate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

We'd love to see:

• Experience with modern iOS development — SwiftUI, Combine, and Swift Concurrency (async/await).

• Working knowledge of Core Data, Core Animation, and Core Location.

• Experience with performance optimisation, memory management, and debugging.

• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD, and iOS deployment tooling.

• Experience managing third-party libraries.

• Experience in a high-growth tech startup environment.
