  • Develop and optimize body structures to meet NVH targets such as:
  • Global static \& dynamic stiffness
  • Local dynamic stiffness
  • Frequency response (VTF, NTF)
  • Support design teams in delivering NVH-compliant solutions within program timelines.
  • Drive test support activities and ensure effective test-to-CAE correlation.
  • Consider real-world constraints (packaging, manufacturing, cost) during solution development.
  • Participate in model build, debugging, and validation of simulation setups.
  • Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced development environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Primary Skills Required
  • Strong expertise in BIW/component NVH performance development using CAE.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Optistruct – Static, Modal, Dynamic (FRF, NTF, VTF), Optimization
  • Debugging and model validation
  • Ability to interpret CAE results and provide actionable design recommendations.
  • Good understanding of low-frequency NVH behaviour (0–500 Hz).
  • Proficiency in HyperWorks suite (HyperMesh, HyperView, HyperGraph).
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

Additional Skills Preferred

  • Experience in design optimization techniques.
  • Exposure to Excel macro/VBA automation.
  • Knowledge of:
  • BIW structure design \& development
  • Virtual series development process
  • Connections, joints, and kinematics modelling
  • Awareness of manufacturing feasibility and packaging constraints.
  • Familiarity with acoustic cavity modelling.

Experience Required

  • 6–10 years of experience in automotive NVH CAE analysis.
  • Proven experience in:
  • Body structure NVH simulations (trimmed \& un-trimmed)
  • Design improvement recommendations based on CAE results
  • Capability to independently handle medium-to-high complexity tasks.
  • Experience in OEM/Tier-1 environments preferred.

Software Skills Required

  • Primary: Optistruct (SOL101, 103, 108, 111, 200 equivalent)
  • Pre/Post: HyperWorks (v17 or above)
  • Others: MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Exposure to CAD/PLM tools (3DEXPERIENCE preferred)

Experience Preferred

  • Experience with physical testing methods for body structures
  • Exposure to OEM CAE workflows and quality processes
  • Understanding of IT/PLM systems

Key Competencies

  • Technical depth in NVH CAE (low-frequency focus)
  • Structured problem-solving approach
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Delivery ownership under timelines
