Job Description
eTutorsZone is seeking an experienced English Language Arts tutor to provide personalized, one-on-one online instruction to middle and high school students.
Responsibilities
- Teach reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literary analysis.
- Help students develop strong essays through brainstorming, outlining, revision, and constructive feedback.
- Support school assignments, homework, and test preparation.
- Adapt lessons to each student’s learning needs and academic goals.
- Track progress and communicate updates to the academic team.
- Maintain a reliable schedule and a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Must be based in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Experience teaching or tutoring middle or high school ELA.
- Strong writing, communication, and student engagement skills.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet teaching space.
- Availability during after-school hours and/or weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- U.S. teaching license.
- Experience with Honors English, AP English Language, AP English Literature, or SAT/ACT English and Reading.
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay based on qualifications and experience.
Qualifications
- Essential: Strong English and writing skills; teaching, tutoring, or classroom experience; and the ability to plan lessons and adapt instruction.
- Experience working with children and students is valuable.
Pay: $17\.00 - $19\.00 per hour
