Online Reading/Writing Tutor

Overview

We love our students and our tutors! We are seeking a fun, dedicated, creative, and passionate educator to join our growing team!

To be considered, you MUST HAVE RECENT MIDDLE, HIGH SCHOOL, or Junior College level ELA/Literature TEACHING EXPERIENCE IN THE US.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ELA teaching and a desire to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.

This role involves providing personalized/group instruction online to students grades 8-11\. The Tutor will utilize online technologies and follow a tailored curriculum to enhance the educational experience.

A bonus structure will be implemented for the right candidate. This position requires building relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group tutoring sessions in Reading Comprehension (60%) and Writing (40%).
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and motivation.
• Carefully track student progress, attendance, and engagement.
• Educate students on study skills and strategies to promote independent learning.

Qualifications

• Prefer a Certified Reading and Writing Teacher with classroom teaching experience.
• Experience working with Middle/High School (preferred) students in an educational setting is essential.
• Experience with online/GROUP teaching preferred.
• Must be available 2-3 evenings per week and either Saturdays or Sundays
• Strong writing skills and experience with the R/A/C/E/ format.
• Highly organized and attention to detail is a must.
