Operational Buyer

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for acting as the main point of contact between internal stakeholders and suppliers

Provide operational and analytical support by monitoring supplier performance and ensuring effective supplier relationships

Manage the transformation of Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders and ensure timely communication with suppliers

Monitor order progress and ensure on-time order confirmations, agreed pricing and timely delivery of goods

Generate and interpret ERP-based data to support supplier performance tracking and category-level decision making

Ensure purchase orders are created accurately to prevent invoice discrepancies

Work closely with buyers to ensure timely and accurate placement of purchase orders

Handle invoice-related issues including price differences and discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution

Ensure correct application of supply agreements, terms \& conditions and effective use of framework contracts

Identify and understand stakeholder requirements in terms of quantity, specifications and service levels, especially for indirect categories

Provide day-to-day operational support to stakeholders, including handling queries, supporting local purchases and ensuring procurement process compliance

The ideal candidate is expected to have the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (preferably from an engineering department or Business Administration),

Min. 1 year experience of procurement (preferably FMCG sector),

Good command of written and verbal English,

Good command of MS Office (SAP knowledge is an asset),

Strong communication and interpersonal skills,

Strong analytical \& reporting skills,

Strong negotiation skills.
