About the Role
Honeycomb is seeking an Operations Analyst to drive process improvement, implement systems, and build reporting infrastructure across the firm : our hedge fund and family office. This is a hands-on role for someone fluent with modern AI tools and energized by designing scalable workflows from the ground up. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, as well as external service providers, to streamline operations, support accounting, and contribute meaningfully to day-to-day decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and implement process improvements across operations, accounting, and administrative workflows
- Lead system selection and implementation projects, including integrations, plugins, and extensions
- Leverage AI tools (Claude and similar) to automate recurring workflows, accelerate analysis, and increase team capacity
- Build and maintain dashboards that surface key operational, financial, and portfolio data
- Perform financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting to ensure accuracy and high standards
- Support day-to-day operations and accounting for the hedge fund and family office
- Coordinate with external service providers : fund administrator, auditor, and legal counsel on operational matters
- Ensure seamless communication and service across internal teams and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in operations, accounting, finance, or a related analytical role
- Strong working proficiency with Claude or comparable AI assistants, including comfort building custom workflows, using plugins, and embedding AI into business processes
- Comfortable leading with technology; eager to evaluate, adopt, and champion new tools to drive efficiency and scale
- Tech-savvy and intellectually curious; a lifelong learner who stays current on emerging tools
- Proficient in Excel; experience with QuickBooks and banking portals preferred, or the ability to ramp quickly
- Ready to spearhead dashboard development in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker), or the ability to ramp quickly
- Bachelor\’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Fundamental knowledge of finance, accounting, and account reconciliation
- Detail-oriented with strong written communication; comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders
- Self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
