Job Description

We are a fast-growing LGBTQ\+ apparel brand with a loyal customer base. We operate a lean, high-leverage team environment where every member has a massive impact on the business.. We are looking for an exceptional, data-driven Operations \& Supply Chain Manager to own our end-to-end inventory, logistics, customer experience, and financial workflows.

Role Overview

You will own the operational engine of the company. This is a crucial, high-leverage role that bridges physical logistics (managing our 3PL), front-end customer experience, and day-to-day financial coordination. Your primary mission is to optimize our supply chain, protect our net profit margins against rising macroeconomic pressures (shipping inflation, fuel surcharges), and streamline our workflows so the Founder can focus entirely on high-level growth and brand vision.

Key Responsibilities

1\. Supply Chain \& Inventory Planning

  • Production Forecasting:

Partner with the Founder to translate sales forecasts and collection drop schedules into accurate factory purchase orders (POs).

  • Size-Curve Optimization:

Analyze historical sales data to optimize size runs, preventing stockouts on bestsellers while minimizing dead-stock capital traps.

  • Factory Liaison:

Act as the primary point of contact for international manufacturing partners. Track production timelines, monitor quality control, and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Landed Cost Analysis:

Maintain absolute clarity on Landed COGS (unit manufacturing cost \+ freight \+ duties \+ brokerage fees).

2\. Logistics \& 3PL Relationship Management

  • 3PL Vendor Ownership:

Serve as the primary strategic manager for our Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partner. Hold them strictly accountable to fulfillment SLAs, picking accuracy, and shipping turnaround times.

  • Carrier \& Surcharge Management:

Optimize our shipping rate cards

  • Inbound Freight \& Customs:

Coordinate air/sea freight logistics, customs clearance, and inbound warehouse receiving directly with our customs brokers and the 3PL.

3\. Financial Coordination \& Gateway Operations

  • Bookkeeper Liaison:

Serve as the main internal point of contact for our external, third-party bookkeeping firm. Ensure all invoices, receipts, payouts, and inventory asset valuations are cleanly organized and delivered on time for monthly reconciliations.

  • Payment Gateway Management:

Monitor and manage our digital payment infrastructure (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna/Afterpay, etc.). Track transaction fees, optimize fraud filter settings, and manage chargebacks or payment hold disputes.

4\. Customer Experience (CX) \& Portal Ownership

  • Returns Portal Optimization:

Manage our digital returns and exchanges platform ( Loop). Analyze return data (sizing, fit issues) to feed insights back to production and minimize future return rates.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • 3–5\+ years of direct experience

in e-commerce operations, logistics, or supply chain management—

apparel experience is strongly preferred

(you understand size runs, fabric production cycles, and high apparel return dynamics).

  • Fulfillment Vendor Experience:

Proven track record of directly managing an external 3PL provider—you know how to read a 3PL billing invoice, spot hidden fees, and enforce service agreements.

  • Financial Literacy:

You don't need to be an accountant, but you must understand a basic P\&L, inventory asset valuation, and the cadence required to work efficiently with an external bookkeeping team.

  • Deep Shopify Ecosystem Knowledge:

Familiarity with modern Shopify apps for inventory management, post-purchase upsells, customer service, and returns.

  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills:

You love data and can comfortably build inventory replenishment models, cash-flow projections, and landed-cost spreadsheets.

  • The "Startup" Mindset:

You thrive in a lean team. You are highly organized, comfortable self-managing, and love finding elegant software/automation solutions instead of throwing headcount at a problem.

Benefits \& Compensation

  • Competitive salary
  • Performance-based bonus structure
  • Health \& Dental Benefits
  • Generous clothing allowance/employee discount.
