We are New10, a financial service scale-up initiated by ABN AMRO Bank. At New10 we believe that business financing should be easy and accessible. We are on a quest to transform the financing ecosystem by using the speed and innovative strength of a fintech with the expertise and funding of a bank to deliver a fast, simple, and clear financing experience to SME businesses. To support our growth towards this ambition, we're looking for a Platform Engineer.

Your new role

You'll join the Platform team, a small group of engineers who own the foundational technologies that enable every product team at New10 to ship faster, more securely, and at lower cost. We own the foundational layers for six capability areas: Cloud Infrastructure, CI/CD, Data backup/recovery, Developer tooling, Observability, and AI Enablement. We work with a high degree of autonomy, meaning you don't wait for a spec. You identify what needs to be built, make the case, build it, and see it through to adoption by the engineering teams who depend on it.

New10 is scaling, and the infrastructure decisions we make in 2026 will directly shape what we can build and ship in 2027 and beyond. This is a role with a primary focus on AWS infrastructure, observability \& security. In practice, that means:

  • Own and evolve our multi-account AWS environment to the scaling needs of our development teams
  • Lead the migration to a new shared Observability platform. Evaluating, implementing, and driving adoption across engineering teams
  • Own and improve the security posture of the platform, proactively identifying architectural risks, not just responding to them
  • Build and improve developer tooling that accelerates productivity across the engineering organisation
  • Mentor colleagues and raise the infrastructure and security bar across the team

We're looking for someone who has...

  • 5\+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including multi-account setups, networking, IAM, and security controls at landing zone level; able to lead architectural decisions independently
  • Strong Terraform skills. You write and maintain reusable modules, not just run applies
  • A solid grasp of network segmentation, zero-trust principles, and cloud security architecture
  • A proven track record of owning a platform domain end-to-end, from design through to engineering teams actively adopting and building on your solutions
  • A security mindset where you treat it as a first-class concern, not an afterthought
  • Clear communication skills across both engineering and non-technical audiences

Nice to have:

  • Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines at scale
  • Familiarity with serverless, event-driven architectures (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, Step Functions)
  • Coding proficiency in TypeScript, Python and/or Go
  • Experience mentoring engineers or raising the technical bar within a team
