Role Description

The PLC Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pirangut Division. The individual in this role will design, program, test, and commission PLC-based control systems for measurement and automation equipment. Daily responsibilities include developing and modifying PLC logic, integrating sensors and actuators, troubleshooting control panels and field devices, and ensuring reliable operation of machines on the shop floor and at customer sites. The PLC Engineer will collaborate with design, production, and R\&D teams to implement automation solutions, prepare documentation such as wiring diagrams and program manuals, and support preventive and corrective maintenance activities. The role may involve on-site visits for installation, commissioning, and service support, while adhering to safety standards and quality procedures.

Job description

  • Candidates should possess strong PLC programming and debugging skills (e.g., ladder logic, function block, structured text) and experience with major PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, or Mitsubishi.
  • Candidates should possess solid electrical and instrumentation knowledge, including control panel wiring, schematics reading, basic power and signal circuits, and integration of sensors, encoders, and actuators.
  • Candidates should possess skills in industrial automation and motion control, including HMIs, drives, communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP), and system integration for machines and measurement systems.
  • Candidates should possess analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience in fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and systematic troubleshooting of PLC programs and hardware.
  • Candidates should possess documentation and communication skills for creating technical manuals, wiring diagrams, test reports, and for clear coordination with cross‑functional teams and customers.
  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred; prior experience in machine tool, metrology, or industrial automation domains will be an advantage.
