Summary
The Principal serves as a senior technical leader within the Data Center and Critical Infrastructure practice, providing deep subject matter expertise, technical direction, and strategic guidance across complex, mission‑critical engagements. This role acts as a trusted advisor to clients, internal teams, and leadership, shaping technical solutions, setting standards, and mentoring engineers.
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for supervising, training, and mentoring of employees so they may perform their duties at a high level of excellence, professionalism, and quality.
- Lead and manage projects which includes project profitability, cost control, revenue projections, and employee productivity, identify potential crises, and devise contingency reaction plans.
- Proposal and fee estimation creation and review process for new and on-going engagements.
- Facilitate effective project team and cross-functional interactions (Technical, Operations, BD, Marketing, etc.) by working successfully as a part of a team and business functions to achieve positive results.
- Responsible for delivering a high level of customer service and client satisfaction.
- Maintain technical subject matter expertise and market understanding within industries supported by the Security and Technology Consulting division.
- Keep peer practice leads fully informed of customer engagement, status, issues, and activities.
- Suggest and improve efficiency of design, project execution processes, technical specifications.
- Remain connected with industry trends and events. Develop and maintain connections with key industry personnel and manufacturers. Leverage extensive experience in the development and implementation of standards.

Preferred Education and Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of technology design and consulting experience
- Seven (7)\+ years of experience working with the large-scale design and consulting projects
- Industry Certifications such as PSP, RCDD, CPP, CSC etc., a plus
- Software Application Requirements: MS 365, Smartsheet, and Bluebeam
Management Responsibility
This position manages employees of the department as assigned and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This position may require extra hours and weekend work.
Travel
Travel for site assessments, internal design meetings, construction review, and interfacing with design consultants.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, much of the work may be done sitting at a desk, using a computer, typing, handling phone calls, filing, and using office equipment such as like printers and copiers. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Salary Range
The base annual salary range offered for this position is based on numerous factors, including job-related skills and knowledge, experience, specific location, relevant education and/or training. In addition to the annual salary, we offer a full benefits package.
