Position Overview

We are seeking a

Procurement Expeditor

to support manufacturing operations and project execution by ensuring critical materials, equipment, and services are delivered on schedule and meet technical, quality, and operational expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for a supply chain professional who enjoys working in dynamic industrial environments and wants to make a direct impact on production readiness, supplier performance, and project success. In this role, you will partner with engineering, procurement, operations, maintenance, logistics, and suppliers to monitor progress, solve delivery challenges, and keep priorities moving. You will gain valuable exposure to manufacturing processes, supplier management, technical procurement, and cross-functional execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to understand business priorities and support timely sourcing of equipment, materials, and services
  • Monitor supplier schedules and production progress to ensure deliveries align with plant needs and project deadlines
  • Anticipate supply risks, technical concerns, or schedule delays and help implement corrective action plans
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers and conduct site visits as needed to verify status, review readiness, and resolve issues
  • Coordinate with engineering teams and vendors to confirm technical requirements, drawings, specifications, and scope details
  • Work closely with procurement, warehouse, logistics, and project teams to resolve shortages, damages, shipping issues, and receiving delays
  • Maintain visibility of high-priority orders and provide timely updates, risk summaries, and recovery plans to leadership
  • Support supplier performance improvement efforts related to quality, responsiveness, and delivery reliability
  • Help ensure supplier adherence to safety expectations, commercial terms, and applicable standards

Ideal Background

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3–7 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, project coordination, expediting, supplier quality, inspections, or related industrial environments
  • Experience supporting plant operations, capital projects, or technical procurement activities preferred
  • Exposure to equipment fabrication, vendor management, or industrial service providers is a plus

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and commercial documents
  • Proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems such as SAP, along with a proactive ownership mentality

  • Travel may include visits to local suppliers, vendor facilities across the United States, and occasional international travel to support critical orders, inspections, and project timelines
