Role Description -

Aurora Technical Systems is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support client’s acquisition requirements under federal contract. Forward resumes to: Gwen Holland - [email protected]

The Procurement role is responsible for cradle-to-grave administration of commercial and non-commercial “low” risk acquisitions.

·      Utilizes independent problem-solving techniques and skills, including managing procurement-requestor meetings to minimize procurement risk and promote value of the procurement process.

·      Supports acquisition pre-award activities including Statement of Work, Acquisition Strategy Support, Cost Estimates, Market Research, Request for Proposals/ Request for Quotes (RFPs/RFQs) Source Selection, and other miscellaneous pre-award requirements.

·      Provide Purchasing Card (P-Card) program support.

·      Seeks quality goods/services at fair and reasonable prices to meet the client’s needs.

·      Manages supplier relationships.

·      Prepare file documentation in accordance with client’s procurement process and federal procurement regulations.

·      Negotiates and recommend for award purchase orders and subcontracts.

·      Maintains excellent file documentation to include price/cost analysis, procurement summary, negotiation memorandum, vendor evaluations and other source selection documentation consistent with client procurement manual and federal regulations for all procurements.

·      Engages in post-award administration.

Education

·      Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience

Required Experience:

·      Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a government / prime contractor purchasing/procurement environment

Preferred Experience

·      Experience with procurement of goods and services, facilities, aerospace, educational or Federal Government procurement

·      Relevant business experience with progressively increasing responsibilities

Basic knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other applicable government regulations
