About this Role
Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist II to support procurement and supply chain operations for power generation, renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), data centers, substations, transmission, and industrial infrastructure projects. This mid-level role is responsible for managing procurement activities for assigned projects, supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, administering purchase orders, coordinating supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services required for successful Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project execution.
What You'll Do
Procurement \& Strategic Sourcing
- Procure equipment, materials, and services required for EPC projects while ensuring compliance with project schedules, budgets, and technical requirements.
- Prepare and manage:
- Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
- Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
- Bid evaluations
- Purchase Requisitions
- Purchase Orders (POs)
- Contract amendments and change orders
- Evaluate supplier proposals and make recommendations based on commercial and technical considerations.
- Conduct supplier negotiations regarding pricing, delivery schedules, terms and conditions, and commercial agreements.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier development programs.
Purchase Order \& Contract Administration
- Develop and administer purchase orders for assigned projects.
- Monitor procurement activities from requisition through final delivery.
- Review and verify vendor documentation, pricing, and contractual compliance.
- Coordinate resolution of supplier issues, non-conformance reports, invoice discrepancies, and delivery challenges.
- Manage procurement records and maintain accurate documentation throughout the procurement lifecycle.
Supplier \& Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and service providers.
- Participate in supplier qualification, evaluation, and performance monitoring activities.
- Support supplier audits and vendor performance reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, reduce costs, and mitigate procurement risks.
- Assist in maintaining approved supplier databases and procurement records.
Project Procurement Support
- Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Construction, and Project Controls teams to understand project procurement requirements.
- Develop procurement schedules and material tracking plans.
- Monitor supplier performance and proactively communicate schedule impacts and procurement risks.
- Participate in project review meetings and procurement status updates.
- Support project forecasting and procurement reporting activities.
Expediting \& Logistics Coordination
- Track procurement activities and supplier deliveries to ensure alignment with project schedules.
- Coordinate shipment schedules, logistics planning, and transportation activities.
- Support expediting efforts for long-lead equipment and critical project materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, fabrication facilities, and project sites regarding material delivery requirements.
- Assist in resolving transportation, shipping, and receiving issues.
Cost Management \& Reporting
- Support project cost control efforts through effective procurement planning and execution.
- Assist with spend analysis and procurement metrics reporting.
- Prepare procurement status reports and delivery forecasts.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, value engineering, and procurement efficiencies.
- Support budget tracking and forecasting activities.
Compliance \& Quality
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Support quality assurance and supplier quality programs.
- Maintain compliance with procurement procedures, audit requirements, and document retention policies.
- Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement organization.
- Ensure procurement practices align with safety, ethical sourcing, and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Bring
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, or contract administration experience.
- Experience supporting industrial construction, manufacturing, utility, energy, or EPC projects preferred.
- Experience procuring engineered equipment, construction materials, or subcontracted services preferred.
- Familiarity with power generation, renewable energy, data center, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

- Ability to work in office, warehouse, fabrication, and construction environments as required.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
