Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Engineering Design Specialist to work on a Full-time basis. As a key member of the engineering team, this individual will design and validate simulation-based engineering problems for training and evaluating advanced AI models. This role requires expertise in crafting realistic engineering design tasks where a model must make genuine trade-offs, size components, and iterate against physics-based simulators to meet competing specifications. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI systems that transform industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and validate simulation-based engineering problems that require true design reasoning, with clear constraints and optimization goals.

• Deliver complete problem sets including reference solutions, near-miss variants, edge cases, and documentation, ensuring appropriate difficulty levels and simulation accuracy.

• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to identify areas for improvement and develop novel design challenges that push the limits of current AI capabilities.

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of AI model limitations and areas for improvement, and use this knowledge to design more effective and realistic engineering problems.

• Ensure that all design problems are thoroughly tested and validated to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Required Skills \& Qualifications:

• Strong background in electronic engineering and telecommunications, with a deep understanding of AI systems and simulation-based design.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and validate complex engineering problems that require true design reasoning.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C\+\+, or Java, with experience in AI and machine learning frameworks.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and develop novel design challenges.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with AI researchers and engineers.
