LMK Recruiting working with a growing company that is currently seeking a Product Manager to join their entrepreneurial and dynamic team. The Product Manager, North America is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of a product portfolio within the North American market. This role acts as the category owner, driving market strategy, product positioning, innovation roadmaps, and full lifecycle management. You will lead go-to-market strategy and execution for new product introductions and line extensions, while also managing ongoing portfolio performance, pricing, and P\&L accountability. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with teams across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Innovation, and Global Product Marketing to ensure successful product delivery and commercial performance in market.
In addition to execution, this role plays a key part in shaping category strategy through market intelligence, consumer insights, and competitive analysis, ensuring the portfolio remains aligned with evolving customer needs and market trends.
The role sits within the Product Marketing team and partners closely with a Senior Product Manager and global stakeholders. This is a hybrid role based near Chicago (Loop), with in-office expectations Tuesday through Thursday. Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Chicago. You’ll be part of a global organization working across time zones, collaborating with teams around the world and contributing to a brand with strong international reach.
Key Responsibilities
Product Portfolio Ownership
- Own North American strategy and roadmap for an assigned product category
- Develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies
- Lead annual business planning for the category
- Manage full product lifecycle, including Phase-In / Phase-Out decisions
- Own category-level P\&L and drive profitable growth
- Serve as primary product expert for internal and external stakeholders
- Provide product training and launch support across teams
Innovation \& Launch Management
- Lead new product introductions (NPIs) and line extensions
- Ensure launches are delivered on time and aligned with business goals
- Conduct post-launch performance analysis and reporting
- Partner with global teams to adapt product concepts for the North American market
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Brand, and Legal
Market Intelligence \& Insights
- Conduct ongoing competitor, category, and market analysis
- Translate consumer insights into product and portfolio recommendations
- Identify risks and opportunities within the category
- Support claims development and regulatory review processes
Pricing \& Channel Strategy
- Define and manage product channel pricing in partnership with Sales
- Support annual channel and customer planning initiatives
Skills \& Qualifications
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in product management or product marketing (B2C required)
- Experience in consumer durables or CPG preferred
- Proven ownership of a product portfolio or category
- Experience managing product launches and lifecycle decisions
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Commercial acumen with exposure to P\&L or business case development
- Strong project management skills across multiple workstreams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High level of autonomy, ownership, and accountability
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working in global or matrixed organizations
- Familiarity with claims, compliance, or regulatory processes
- Experience in home, wellness, or consumer lifestyle categories
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AI tools
Schedule \& Location

Compensation \& Benefits
- Base Salary:
$90,000 – $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications
- Bonus:
Eligible for performance-based bonus
