Our client is an international project and programme management consultancy that delivers large-scale infrastructure and real estate developments across global markets. The organisation works closely with governments, developers and institutional partners to manage complex programmes from planning through to construction and completion.
About the Project
The role will support the delivery of a landmark international development in Riyadh, forming a major part of the Kingdom’s long-term economic transformation strategy.
The programme covers approximately
6 million square metres
and will host
nearly 200 participating nations and tens of millions of visitors
during the global event. The development will include national pavilions, cultural and entertainment venues, infrastructure networks, mobility systems, and extensive public realm.
Beyond the event itself, the site is planned to transition into a
permanent mixed-use legacy district
, incorporating residential, commercial, hospitality and tourism components. The project is one of the largest developments currently under construction globally and involves multiple international contractors, consultants and government stakeholders.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated
Project Engineer
to join the programme delivery team in Riyadh. This role will support the coordination and delivery of key project packages within a large and complex programme environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, consultants and contractors to ensure engineering deliverables, construction activities and project milestones are achieved in line with programme objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of assigned project packages across design and construction stages.
- Coordinate with design consultants, contractors and client teams to ensure project alignment.
- Monitor project progress against schedule, budget and quality requirements.
- Assist with the review of engineering drawings, technical submissions and method statements.
- Track project actions and technical queries to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in project meetings and support preparation of reports and documentation.
- Assist with interface coordination between multiple workstreams and contractors.
- Support risk identification and mitigation activities.
- Ensure compliance with project standards and health and safety requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in
Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline
.
- Approximately
3–7 years’ experience
within construction, engineering or project management environments.
- Experience on
large infrastructure, mixed-use or major development projects
preferred.
- Strong coordination and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and technical interfaces.
- Experience working within consultancy or programme management environments is advantageous.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
