Job Description

A well-established construction firm is looking to appoint an experienced

Project Manager

to oversee the successful delivery of commercial building projects in the Los Angeles area.

This position will play a key role in managing projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This opportunity is ideal for a construction professional who enjoys leading teams, working closely with clients and consultants, and taking ownership of complex construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the

overall planning, coordination, and execution

of construction projects.

  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with

design requirements, budgets, timelines, and quality standards

.

  • Promote and maintain a strong

site safety culture

and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.

  • Manage and administer

contracts, subcontracts, and procurement activities

.

  • Monitor project progress and prepare

regular updates relating to cost, schedule, and risk management

.

  • Identify opportunities to improve project outcomes through

value engineering and efficient construction methods

.

  • Work closely with

clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams

to maintain strong project communication.

  • Proactively identify and manage

risks, challenges, and opportunities

throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Oversee the

final stages of project delivery

, including commissioning and closeout documentation.

Where projects involve integrated design and construction delivery:

  • Coordinate with the design team to ensure project requirements, timelines, and build ability considerations are met.
  • Support the implementation of

design management and quality control processes

.

  • Keep stakeholders informed of project developments, challenges, and solutions.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in

Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

.

  • Approximately

8–10 years of experience within the construction industry

, with increasing project responsibility.

  • Demonstrated experience leading construction teams and managing project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of

construction methods, materials, building codes, and contract administration

.

  • Proven ability to manage

budgets, schedules, and project risks

effectively.

  • Excellent

communication, organizational, and leadership skills

.

  • Proficiency with

Microsoft Office and project management or scheduling software

.
