Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Project Manager to support a top federal construction sub-contractor specializing in large-scale design-build projects. This individual will be responsible for overseeing complex, high-dollar projects from planning through completion, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful infrastructure projects supporting national security initiatives.
- Lead day-to-day project execution for large federal design-build construction projects
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using MS Project
- Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Coordinate with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and federal stakeholders
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Utilize Bluebeam for drawing review and markups
- Ensure compliance with federal requirements, safety standards, and quality controls
- Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed using HeavyBid/HeavyJob
- Drive projects from preconstruction through closeout
Must-Haves:
- 5–8 \+ years of experience working as a construction Project Manager
- Experience working with a General Contractor or an Electrical, Civil, Steel, Mechanical, or Structural Subcontractor
- Must have experience overseeing self-perform work - any scope of trade works
- Experience managing projects valued over
$15m in budget
- Federal construction project experience: CBP, USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, DHS, AF, city/state, municipal construction -
Strong Plus
- Proficiency with MS Project (scheduling), bluebeam, or heavybid/heavyjob
- Experience managing project cost controls and financials
Plusses:
- Design-Build project experience
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Experience supporting border, security, or infrastructure projects
