Public Relations Manager

We’re looking for a Public Relations Manager who knows how to turn smart strategy into meaningful visibility. This is a role for someone who is assertive, agile, and driven, with a strong instinct for what makes a story land and the persistence to make sure it does.
This role will work alongside the Director of Public Relations as a key partner in driving client work forward. Together, alongside our larger agency, you will work to provide day-to-day support, helping drive execution, and playing a critical role in delivering results for a mix of B2B and B2C clients.
What You’ll Do
- Partner closely with, and report to, the Director of Public Relations to execute PR initiatives, including media relations, influencer campaigns, and content development.
- Serve as a key PR support across accounts, keeping work moving and ensuring it’s delivered at a high level.
- Lead media relations efforts from idea through placement – developing angles, building lists, and securing meaningful coverage.
- Act as a proactive advocate for our clients, identifying and pursuing opportunities for strategically aligned media coverage.
- Pitch with intention, making sure every outreach is rooted in a strong story, clear value, and the right audience fit.
- Support client messaging workshops, helping gather insights and shape them into clear, compelling messaging frameworks and brand narratives.
- Draft a range of materials including press releases, media advisories, case studies, whitepapers, bylines, and messaging documents.
- Build and maintain targeted media lists, while developing strong relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Support and manage influencer outreach and engagements, including identification, coordination, content review, and tracking performance.
- Support events such as press conferences, tradeshows, grand openings, etc.
- Help prepare clients for media opportunities through training and briefing materials.
- Track and report results, connecting PR efforts back to overall goals and KPIs.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in public relations, preferably in an agency environment.
- A proven track record of securing media placements - you know how to pitch, follow up, and close.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience developing messaging and content across formats (press, thought leadership, case studies, etc.)
- An assertive, go-getter mindset with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Experience working across both B2B and B2C brands.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities.
- Experience with media monitoring and reporting tools (i.e. Cision).
- A collaborative mindset.
