Purchasing Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, ensuring accurate data entry, and contributing to the overall efficiency of procurement processes. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach and a commitment to excellence in vendor relationships and system management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage purchase order systems by entering product details, pricing, templates, quantities, and dependencies accurately.

• Update and maintain options templates, ensuring all pricing and data remain accurate and up-to-date.

• Monitor and report pricing changes to support budget planning and forecasting.

• Collaborate with team members to implement special projects, including system updates and process enhancements.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure smooth procurement operations.

• Assist in obtaining necessary permits and documentation to facilitate project workflows.

• Analyze purchasing activities to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procurement standards.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking procurement metrics.

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or related functions.

• Strong proficiency in managing purchase orders and vendor relationships.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and system management.

• Ability to analyze pricing and identify trends for budgeting purposes.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with vendors and team members.

• Familiarity with procurement systems and software tools.
