2\. About the Opportunity:
The QA Automation Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks and suites to improve software reliability, delivery speed, and quality. This role leads the full testing lifecycle by combining automated and manual testing to validate complex healthcare applications, identify defects, analyze data, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and working closely with cross-functional teams, this position drives continuous improvement and supports the delivery of high-quality, user-focused software that advances healthcare technology.
3\. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks, pipelines, and tests (unit, API, integration, end-to-end)
- Write and execute automated and manual tests; analyze logs, metrics, and defects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and testing approaches
- Document frameworks, test cases, and reporting metrics
- Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines for continuous software delivery
- Align with product managers and developers on requirements and acceptance criteria
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Ensure software compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, FDA, and GDPR
- Provide regular updates on testing progress and results to stakeholders
4\. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3\+ years of software QA experience focused on automation testing, preferably in health tech
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript
- Experience with API testing tools and frameworks
- Basic SQL skills for database validation and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, FDA, GDPR) preferred
5\. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- The base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000
- Placement within this range depends on skills, experience, and location, with consideration for team parity and future growth
