Quantitative Researcher – Credit Hedge Fund - London

A leading

global credit hedge fund

is seeking a

Quantitative Researcher

to join its trading team in London. The firm deploys capital across a range of credit strategies and works with a highly sophisticated institutional investor base across public and private markets. This role sits directly alongside Portfolio Managers and investment professionals, helping to build and scale quantitative research capabilities within the credit trading business.

The Role

As a Quantitative Researcher, you will play a key role in developing systematic and semi-systematic approaches to credit markets. You will work closely with traders and analysts to generate signals, build research tools, and support investment decisions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing trading strategies focused on

single-name credit markets

  • Building a

shared research platform

to support semi-systematic investment models

  • Designing and implementing

quantitative signals

across credit instruments and related equities

  • Performing large-scale data analysis to identify market trends, patterns and anomalies
  • Collaborating with Portfolio Managers and analysts to provide insights on

portfolio positioning and risk

  • Supporting

trade structuring and execution

  • Researching and implementing quantitative models using modern data science techniques
  • Integrating research outputs into trading systems and investment workflows
  • Communicating research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

  • Strong quantitative background with experience developing

models, signals or research tools

  • Proficiency in

Python

(e.g. Pandas, NumPy)

  • Experience analysing large datasets and building production-ready research workflows
  • Prior experience in a

hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or investment bank

is beneficial

  • Familiarity with

corporate bonds, credit markets or loan products

is advantageous
