About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior React Native Developer to join our platform team in a hybrid role based in Charlotte. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our mobile platform to meet evolving business needs. You will work closely with other senior engineers to design, develop, and maintain a modular, high-performance mobile infrastructure that supports multiple product teams. Your expertise will help drive platform improvements, establish best practices, and ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable, and maintainable React Native applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the technical direction of our mobile ecosystem while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess over three years of software engineering experience, with at least two years dedicated to React Native development in production environments. A strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, along with modern React patterns, is essential. Experience in building reusable, modular components and shared platform infrastructure is highly valued. Familiarity with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) development is preferred, as is knowledge of React Native's New Architecture and Expo. Candidates should have experience with modularization strategies in large-scale mobile applications, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization techniques. Excellent problem-solving, debugging skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, evolution, and modularization of the React Native mobile platform to support scalability and maintainability.
• Implement and maintain core platform features, shared components, SDK integrations, and foundational app functionalities such as startup routines, navigation, and networking.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to define platform architecture, adopt modern React Native capabilities like TurboModules and Fabric, and inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure consistency, high performance, and ease of maintenance across all app modules and shared platform components.
• Support product teams by providing a robust platform that accelerates feature development and enhances reliability.
• Develop reusable modules, design system components, and developer tooling to improve cross-team productivity and developer experience.
• Provide guidance on best practices, coding standards, and React Native patterns to ensure high-quality codebases.
• Act as a technical resource for debugging complex issues, optimizing app performance, and troubleshooting platform-related challenges.
• Contribute to testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and streamlined release processes to ensure smooth deployment cycles.
• Mentor engineers and team members on platform usage, best practices, and architectural patterns.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains to align platform development with business objectives.
• Take ownership of platform quality, stability, and the overall developer experience to foster a productive development environment.
