Job Description
The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for leading, supporting, and developing Branch Managers across multiple locations in TX, NM, NV, and UT to ensure operational excellence, strong financial performance, and exceptional customer service. This role provides strategic oversight of branch operations, budget management, talent decisions, fleet performance, and alignment with company standards. The Regional Operations Manager ensures safety, efficiency, and consistency across the branches while driving continuous improvement and growth.
This position requires extensive travel—up to 80% of the time—across the branch locations.
Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Provide leadership, direction, and performance oversight for Branch Managers across assigned locations in TX, NM, NV, and UT.
- Ensure each branch meets operational, financial, and safety expectations.
- Oversee branch budgeting, cost control, financial performance, and resource allocation.
- Approve hiring, terminations, and disciplinary actions for branch-level staff in alignment with HR and company policy.
- Partner with Branch Managers to develop strong teams, coaching leaders to maximize performance, safety compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure branches adhere to and execute company processes, SOPs, and safety standards, including OSHA and state-specific regulations.
- Monitor and support fleet operations across branches, including maintenance, utilization, DOT/MVD compliance, and cost effectiveness.
- Provide high-level customer support, including handling escalated client concerns and building relationships with key accounts.
- Identify operational gaps and implement regional process improvements for consistency and scalability.
- Review and analyze KPIs, cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and production performance across branches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Sales, Safety) to support branch activities and resolve operational challenges.
- Partner with Sales on transactional work and major pursuits to management equipment availability and personnel logistics.
- Ensure regional alignment with company strategy, fostering a big-picture mindset among Branch Managers.
- Direct oversight of Branch Managers and indirect oversight of branch operations teams.

- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, develop, and hold Branch Managers accountable.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture while managing detailed operational components.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost management, and KPI analysis.
- Understanding of fleet management, including regulatory compliance and maintenance planning.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple locations with shifting deadlines and demands.
- Strong problem-solving ability and sound judgment.
- Ability to drive a culture of safety, efficiency, and operational consistency.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; strong Excel skills preferred.
Experience / Education
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5–10 years of leadership experience within the pump rental or adjacent specialty-rental sectors.
- Experience in pump/equipment rental or related fields is a plus.
- Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and applicable state safety regulations.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; CDL a plus.
Physical / Work Requirements
- Travel up to 80% of the time is required for branch visits, operational reviews, and regional oversight.
- Ability to work in both office and outdoor yard environments with exposure to weather, equipment noise, and dust.
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting as required for branch and fleet inspections.
