Job Description
Job Title: Regional Sales Manager
Compensation: Base Salary- $110,000-$120,000 with vehicle allowance \+ Sales Incentive Bonus
Position Summary
The Chicago Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day sales, P\&L performance, and retail execution of the V\&V Supremo business in the Chicago market. This role leads a field team focused on driving profitable growth, managing trade spend effectiveness, and executing in-store and headquarters strategies across grocery retailers in the region. This role will also have some responsibility supporting customer headquarters engagement in the Chicago market.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership \& Management
- Lead and develop the local Chicago Sales team
- Provide daily direction, coaching, and accountability to ensure execution against sales, profitability, and execution priorities
- Conduct regular field rides, performance reviews, and team meetings
- Build a strong culture of urgency, accountability, and results
Sales, Customer \& Headquarters Management
- Oversee execution across grocery retail accounts in the Chicago market
- Lead engagement with grocery headquarters and key decision makers
- Support headquarters responsibilities as needed within the Chicago market
- Ensure strong in-store presence, distribution gains, and promotional execution
- Partner with customers to drive category growth and expand shelf presence
P\&L Ownership \& Trade Spend Management
- Own and manage the Chicago market P\&L
- Ensure profitable growth through disciplined financial management
- Oversee trade spend planning, tracking, and ROI optimization
- Ensure trade dollars are invested effectively to drive volume, distribution, and velocity
- Monitor performance versus budget and adjust plans to maximize return on investment
Retail Execution \& Growth
- Ensure consistent merchandising standards, demo execution, and in-store activation
- Drive execution of key promotional programs and initiatives
- Monitor store-level performance and adjust tactics to improve velocity
- Identify new opportunities for distribution and incremental growth
Business Planning \& Reporting
- Track and report weekly performance against sales, profitability, and execution targets
- Partner with leadership on forecasting, promotional planning, and market strategy
- Provide insights on competitive activity and market trends in the Chicago area
Qualifications
- 5\+ years of experience in CPG sales, retail, or food distribution (preferred)
- Proven leadership experience managing field sales or retail teams
- Strong understanding of grocery retail, headquarters selling, and P\&L management
- Experience managing trade spend and promotional ROI
- Ability to drive execution in a fast-paced, competitive market
- Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills
