Role Description
The Dental Hygienist role at LARGO BRIGHT SMILES LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in Upper Marlboro, MD. The Dental Hygienist will perform routine dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and dental prophylaxis, while educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, assessing periodontal health, assisting with the diagnosis of periodontal disease, and documenting clinical findings in patient records. The role also involves collaborating with dentists and other team members to coordinate treatment, maintaining sterilization and infection control standards, and ensuring a comfortable, respectful experience for every patient.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in dentistry and dental care, with the ability to support comprehensive treatment plans.
- Proficiency in hygiene procedures and dental prophylaxis, including routine cleanings and preventive services.
- Knowledge of periodontal disease, its prevention, and management, with skills in periodontal assessment and patient education.
- Current state licensure as a Dental Hygienist in Maryland, with CPR certification.
- Attention to detail in charting, documentation, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team and provide compassionate patient care.
- Experience in a general dental practice setting is preferred; familiarity with dental software

Tuesday-Thursday 8;45am -5pm
