Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced New York State–certified Physics teacher to provide Regents Physics tutoring for high school students. The ideal candidate is a current or former public school Physics teacher with a strong understanding of the New York State Regents curriculum and a passion for helping students succeed.
Qualifications:
- Current New York State Teaching Certification in Physics
- Experience teaching Physics in a New York public high school
- Deep knowledge of the NY Regents Physics curriculum and exam format
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively
- Patient, supportive, and dedicated to student success
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group Regents Physics tutoring sessions
- Help students review key concepts, lab skills, and problem-solving strategies
- Prepare students for upcoming tests, quizzes, and the Regents exam
- Track student progress and adjust instruction based on individual needs
Schedule:
- Flexible hours available (Weekends or Weekday Afternoons)
