Research Associate – Analytical

Seattle R\&D team of PI AgSciences is seeking a driven scientist with hands-on experience in HPLC-based analysis of peptides and proteins to support analytical testing, method execution, data analysis, and instrument administration for research and development programs. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented scientist with HPLC experience looking to grow technical expertise in peptide analytics while working closely with senior scientists in a collaborative laboratory environment.

Responsibilities:

Peptide analytical testing:

• Perform routine HPLC analyses for peptide identity, purity, and concentration
• Prepare samples, mobile phases, standards, and reagents following SOP’s
• Organize a library of peptide standards.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot HPLC methods,
• Author and update HPLC-related SOP’s as necessary

Instrumentation \& Laboratory operations:

• Operate and maintain HPLC systems (autosamplers, pumps, UV detectors, reverse-phase columns), including system troubleshooting
• Maintain laboratory records of system health

Collaboration:

• Work closely with Senior Scientists in research and formulation groups
• Prepare analysis and data summaries to leadership as needed.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
• Hands-on experience with HPLC systems
• Familiarity with handling of peptides and proteins
• Understanding of chromatographic principles and data interpretation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with reverse-phase HPLC
• Experience with Agilent OpenLab/Chemstation
• Authorized to work in US without visa sponsorship
