About the Role
: We are seeking a Research Manager with 4–10 years of experience in marketing research or consumer insights to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead end-to-end project execution, from initial scoping through final delivery, while serving as a key point of contact for clients. You will play an active role in shaping project scope and be responsible for ensuring that all workstreams run smoothly, insights are clearly articulated, and deliverables meet a high standard of quality and professionalism. This role is focused on turning complex data into clear, compelling, client-ready insights. You will lead the development of reports and presentations, shape the narrative behind the data, and ensure outputs are polished, actionable, and aligned with client needs. While a strong foundation in quantitative research is required, this role is less focused on advanced statistical modeling and more focused on insight development, storytelling, and communication. This role requires hands-on experience delivering insights in commercial, client-facing environments, ideally within CPG, retail, or related industries. Experience in purely academic or government research environments is not a fit for this position.
Responsibilities
:
Insight Development and Storytelling
- Translate complex datasets and multiple data sources into clear, concise, and compelling narratives
- Identify key insights, implications, and recommendations that drive business decisions
- Structure findings into logical, easy-to-follow stories tailored to different audiences
Reporting and Presentation Development
- Lead the creation of high-quality PowerPoint deliverables with strong visual storytelling
- Ensure all outputs are polished, accurate, and aligned with internal and client expectations
- Continuously improve report templates, visualization approaches, and storytelling frameworks
Project and Client Management
- Own the full lifecycle of research projects from kickoff through final delivery
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, managing communication, expectations, and deliverables
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and coordination across internal teams and external vendors
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on scope, and at a high level of quality
Research Execution
- Strong understanding of research quantitative and qualitative approaches and methodologies
- Collaborate on research design, sample planning, and fieldwork execution
- Review and validate data outputs to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Partner with more technical team members on deeper analysis where needed
Qualifications
:
- 4–10 years of experience in marketing research, consumer insights, or analytics roles
- Experience must include commercial, client-facing work (not solely academic or government research)
- Experience in CPG, retail, or consumer-focused industries strongly preferred
Required Skills
:
- Strong ability to translate data into insights and clear business implications
- Advanced PowerPoint skills with a focus on clear, compelling visual storytelling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail in report creation and data presentation
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Skills
:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Solid understanding of quantitative research methods and data analysis
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik is a plus but not required
- Experience with SQL, R, or Python is a plus, but not a focus of the role
