Jubilant Biosys is looking for Research Scientist - Medicinal Chemistry.

Experience :

1-3 Years

Qualification:

Desirable Qualification: Ph.D (Organic Chemistry) with 2-3 years Post Doc (Medicinal/Organic Chemistry).

6-12 years of Industrial experience in drug discovery industry or medicinal chemistry department with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Independently manages and directs the drug designing and synthesis efforts in projects and is accountable for the success of these projects.
• Responsible for optimal utilization of resources in the specific project team through monitoring, measuring and reporting on scientific issues, opportunities and developmental plans and achievements within agreed formats \& timescales.
• Responsible for driving career advancement plans, objective / goal setting, deciding on the Goals and Objectives for team members in conjunction with his / her Reporting Manager.
• Ensure adherence to the various policies \& processes in his / her project team independently or in conjunction with his / her Reporting Manager.
• Manages and drives the project through interdepartmental coordination and communications.
• Manages Customer Relationship through project status update and strategy formulation by working closely with his / her Reporting Manager.
• Develops and advances novel molecules with a complete understanding of scientific aspects.
• Planning and implementation of novel approaches to drug discovery and development independently or in conjunction.
• Driving SAR for novel chemical series in multiple or at least 2 disease areas Independently or in conjunction.
• Deploy modern methods of medicinal chemistry, parallel chemistry and Analytical methods in discussions with the Function Head or Reporting Manager.
• Ensures that all project members are practicing SOPs and EHS guidelines.
