  • We are seeking to recruit a proactive, collaborative and motivated Researcher to support in vitro and in vivo research activities of the Research and Innovation Team for Health and Happiness Research.
  • The research strategy includes the identification, development, and exploitation of novel bioactive compounds for improving health and wellbeing at all life stages.
  • The function of the Researcher will be to perform world-class research, enhance science-based knowledge of human and pet nutrition and contribute to the development of innovative nutritional solutions for our consumers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support senior researchers to deliver disruptive research innovation.
  • Develop and perform biochemical, analytical, microbiological, cell-based in-vitro and ex-vivo
  • assays with ingredients and finished products.
  • Support animal (e.g. piglet) maintenance and execution of animal studies when required,
  • including sample collection and analysis.
  • Maintain data integrity and support data analyses.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, such as industry, academia and key opinion leaders, and
  • local/global innovation, marketing, quality, regulatory and scientific communication teams.
  • Contribute to research dissemination activities including, but not limited to, project reports,
  • peer reviewed publication, popular articles, social media, and local and international conference
  • presentation.

Key Expertise and Skills:

  • M.Sc. and/or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Health Science, Biomedical
  • Sciences, Food Science or a related discipline.
  • Background in human cell culture, bacterial culture, biochemical testing, analytical testing, and
  • functional food research.
  • Proven track record of research project completion to full scope and in good time.
  • Experience working with probiotics, pathogens, human cell culture and simulated digestion would be a distinct advantage.
  • Proven track record in data analyses with competency in Microsoft office and statistical tools
  • (GraphPad, SPSS, Phyton).
  • Ability to work as part of a team, including consulting, collaborating, and building relationships
  • with key partners.
  • Excellent organization, communication, collaborative, time management and motivation skills.
  • Other skills: Flexible, proactive, and autonomous.
