Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join our inpatient Occupational Therapy team. The post is based at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in South Manchester.
This full time position sits within the adult clinical, medical and surgical Oncology cohort, with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge in specialist Haematology and Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) services.

The post-holder will be encouraged to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, utilising excellent interpersonal skills within the inpatient setting and with the relevant community services to ensure a seamless transfer of care for our patients.
As an autonomous practitioner, the post holder is expected to assess and treat Oncology and palliative care patients with guidance and supervision from senior Occupational Therapists. They will be expected to maintain a caseload of patients and be able to plan and prioritise effectively. The successful candidate will be encouraged to participate in clinical audit, CPD and the in-service training rota, and will be required to complete the relevant mandatory training.
