Position Title: Safety Manager

Role Purpose

The Safety Manager is responsible for

establishing, implementing and maintaining the organisation’s Safety Management System (SMS)

to ensure safe maintenance operations, proactive hazard identification, effective risk management, and continuous improvement of safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain the organisation’s

Safety Management System (SMS)

  • Identify aviation safety hazards and assess operational risks related to maintenance activities
  • Ensure effective reporting, investigation and follow‑up of:
  • Safety occurrences
  • Hazards and near‑misses
  • Monitor safety performance and track implementation of risk‑mitigation actions
  • Promote a strong

safety and just culture

across all departments

  • Coordinate safety communication, safety promotion, and awareness programmes
  • Ensure safety‑related training (including human factors) is conducted and monitored
  • Support internal investigations and assist in root‑cause analysis
  • Prepare and present periodic

safety performance reports

to senior management

  • Coordinate with departments to ensure safety risks are assessed when changes occur
  • Act as the focal point for

safety‑related interface with DGCA

, as required

  • Maintain safety documentation, records, and data analysis systems

Qualifications \& Experience

  • Engineering, aviation, or technical qualification (degree or equivalent preferred)
  • Minimum

5 years of relevant aviation experience

, with exposure to maintenance operations

  • Prior experience in safety management, quality, or technical oversight preferred

Skills \& Competencies

  • Strong understanding of aviation safety principles
  • Knowledge of human factors and risk‑based decision making
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Clear communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to influence and promote positive safety behaviour
  • High integrity, objectivity and attention to detail

  • Accountable Manager and Senior Management
  • Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and Compliance teams
  • DGCA and external stakeholders as required
