About the role:

At Chinova, we are harnessing the power of mushrooms to develop innovative, clean-label ingredients that improve product stability, performance, and sustainability across personal care applications. The Sales Account Manager is responsible for maximizing sales, profitability, growth, and product penetration within an assigned territory. This position reports directly to the VP of Sales.

Position Summary:

  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to presenting, sampling, and closing new business
  • Establish and develop strong business relationships with new and existing personal care manufacturers, formulators, and brand owners to generate sales for Chinova’s ingredient solutions
  • Research and identify prospective customers, assess technical fit, and determine commercial potential
  • Develop and manage customer value plans to identify growth opportunities, share expansion, and strategic partnerships
  • Educate clients on Chinova’s value proposition within personal care applications, including formulation benefits, stability, sensory impact, and clean-label positioning
  • Collaborate closely with R\&D and technical teams to support formulation trials, product validation, and customer-specific applications
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a strong service experience
  • Stay current on personal care industry trends, regulatory developments, formulation innovations, and competitive ingredient technologies
  • Maintain CRM records with detailed notes from customer interactions, project updates, sample shipments, technical feedback, and commercial opportunities
  • Provide regular updates and pipeline reports to the VP of Sales, including account status and key developments
  • Actively participate in industry trade shows, conferences, technical seminars, and networking events within the personal care and cosmetics sector

Required:

  • Proven experience in B2B ingredient sales (personal care, cosmetics, or adjacent industries preferred)
  • Strong lead generation and business development capabilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Strong customer service mindset with a solutions-oriented approach
  • Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking ability
  • Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proven ability to develop new markets and manage long and complex sales cycles
  • Persistent and results-driven with a strong ability to close deals
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and customer relationships
  • Willingness to travel as required

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $85,000\.00 per year
