This is a fully remote, hybrid-incentive independent contractor position. The Sales Specialist will be primarily responsible for the full sales cycle, focusing on qualifying provided leads and successfully closing new contracts with property owners. No lead generation is required, allowing you to focus entirely on conversion and sales execution

We offer a hybrid compensation model to support your growth: a $1,000 monthly base commitment combined with a monetary bonus for every property unit that goes live. Based on the current sales team's results and our lead generation flow, a successful Sales Specialist can expect a Gross OTE between $70k and $85k. This reflects the high potential of our closing rate with property owners.

Key Responsibilities

As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for managing the following activities:

  • Lead Qualification:

Qualify inbound leads and conduct proactive outbound outreach, leveraging platforms such as Airbnb.

  • Sales Meetings:

Schedule and conduct discovery meetings to understand property owner challenges and clearly articulate the Ruralis value proposition (pricing, product, and market differentiation).

  • Contract Closing:

Execute the sales process to successfully close new management contracts.

  • Initial Onboarding Support:

Manage the introductory stages of the owner onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition post-sale.

  • CRM Management:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the designated CRM system and support the refinement of sales materials like scripts and FAQs.

The ideal independent contractor will possess the following traits and experience:

  • Proactive and Reliable:

Highly responsive, proactive in follow-up, and dependable.

  • Ambitious \& Persuasive:

A self-starter with a "hunter" mentality, strong business acumen, and excellent persuasive skills.

  • Experience:

1–2 years of experience in a comparable sales or account management role.

  • Communication:

Clear, direct, and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Startup Mindset:

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, exhibiting ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and team spirit.

  • Organizational Skills:

Capable of working independently, maintaining organization, and prioritizing actions for maximum impact.

  • Bonus Experience:

Experience in hospitality, property management, or proptech; familiarity with platforms like Airbnb; and proficiency with CRM systems.

Compensation Structure

This is a hybrid-incentive independent contractor position. The compensation model is designed to reward results while providing a consistent monthly foundation.

  • Contract Type:

1099 Independent Contractor

  • Monthly Base Commitment:

A base pay of $1,000 per month.

  • Onboarding Bonus:

A specific monetary bonus awarded for every property unit that successfully goes live.

  • Sales Commission:

A percentage-based commission on the revenue generated from newly closed contracts.
