The Role

The SDR at Injala is the “tip of the spear,” responsible for generating qualified pipeline (SQLs) by identifying and engaging General Contractors (GCs) and sparking interest in a smarter way to manage construction risk. This role is critical in building top-of-funnel demand and setting up high-quality meetings with construction executives (CFOs, COOs, Risk/Contract Managers) for the Account Executives.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect into target GCs via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn and industry events.
  • Identify key decision-makers (CFOs, Risk Managers, Project Executives).
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads using defined criteria (BANT).
  • Schedule meetings and demos for Account Executives.
  • Maintain accurate activity tracking in CRM tools.
  • Conduct market research on target accounts and segments
  • Collaborate with AEs and marketing to refine messaging and approach.
  • Develop deep understanding of construction risk management and insurance ecosystem, insurance workflows, and compliance requirements.
  • Articulate Injala’s value proposition: risk reduction, increased profitability, labor savings and insurance optimization.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A sharp "hunter" mentality, high-energy, high-volume outreach with the ability to handle rejection and remain motivated in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Coachable, resilient work ethic and strong communication skills. Ability to engage and command attention in the first 30 seconds of a conversation.
  • B2B SaaS experience (2\+ years). Selling to construction, real estate or risk management stakeholders (Contech, Insurtech or Fintech) is strongly preferred.

  • Meetings booked for AE

Compensation Structure

  • Base \+ bonus \+ uncapped commission
