About the Job
The Regional Sales Engineer is responsible for generating and managing sales within an assigned geographic territory. This role requires a highly self-sufficient, results-driven sales professional with strong technical knowledge of precision measurement and metrology. The position involves leading technical sales conversations, expanding customer relationships, and independently driving revenue growth across industries including defense, medical, and automotive manufacturing.
What You’ll Do
- Generate and manage sales within the assigned territory
- Cultivate and expand customer relationships using technical knowledge of precision measurement and metrology solutions
- Independently drive the full sales cycle, from prospecting through close
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical training for customers and partners
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical product inquiries and application discussions
- Develop regional sales strategies aligned with national sales objectives
- Organize and participate in trade shows, product demonstrations, and sales events
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions in CRM software
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and bids
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to travel 75–100% within the assigned region
- High School diploma or GED
- Proven sales experience in a technical environment OR demonstrated experience within the precision measurement/metrology industry
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to communicate complex product features and applications
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Familiarity with CRMs and work productivity tools
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven sales experience within the precision measurement/metrology industry
- CAD experience
- Experience selling into defense, medical, or automotive manufacturing industries

Field Service Engineers, Service, Engineering, Product Management, and Sales Teams
