Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Integration Developer to join their technology team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain integrations between Salesforce and the client’s core HR, payroll, and benefits platforms. You will play a critical part in streamlining data flows that support thousands of small and mid-sized employer clients.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Development
- Design and implement bi-directional integrations between Salesforce (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud) and third-party PEO platforms including HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration systems.
- Build and maintain REST and SOAP API integrations, middleware solutions (MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar), and Salesforce platform events.
- Develop and configure Salesforce Flows, Process Builder, and Apex triggers to support automated data synchronization.
- Collaborate with the data team to design integration architecture that ensures data integrity across systems.
PEO-Specific Systems \& Workflows
- Integrate Salesforce with PEO-specific platforms such as Prism HR, Isolved, Kronos/UKG, or Workday.
- Support onboarding workflows for new employer clients, including automated provisioning and data migration from legacy systems.
- Build integrations supporting benefits enrollment, payroll processing events, and compliance reporting pipelines.
Technical Collaboration \& Support
- Partner with Salesforce Admins, business analysts, and product owners to translate requirements into scalable integration solutions.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to integration best practices and documentation.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration errors and data discrepancies in production environments.
- Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies as part of a cross-functional technology team.
Required Qualifications
- 3\+ years of Salesforce development experience with a focus on integrations.
- Proficiency with Salesforce APIs: REST, SOAP, Bulk API, Streaming API, and Platform Events.
- Hands-on experience with at least one integration platform: MuleSoft, Boomi, Jitterbit, or Workato.
- Strong Apex programming skills including triggers, classes, batch jobs, and asynchronous processing.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with HRIS, payroll, or benefits platforms.
- Familiarity with OAuth 2\.0, JWT, and secure API authentication patterns.
- Experience with data transformation, JSON/XML parsing, and error handling in integration pipelines.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the PEO, HR tech, or benefits administration industry.
- Knowledge of PEO platforms: PrismHR, iSolved, Workday, or similar.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II or Integration Architecture Designer certification.
- Experience with ETL tools and data warehouse integrations (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.).
- Familiarity with compliance and data privacy regulations (ACA, HIPAA, SOC 2) as they relate to data integrations.
- Experience working in agile/scrum development teams.
