SAP Ariba Quality Engineer (QA Analyst T5)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly independent and experienced SAP Ariba Quality Engineer to join our QA team. This role requires strong expertise in SAP procurement applications along with hands-on test automation capabilities.

The ideal candidate is not just a test executor but a product-aware QA professional who can independently understand procurement workflows, identify test coverage gaps, and validate end-to-end business processes across SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA environments.

This role requires someone comfortable working in fast-moving environments with limited documentation, and who can proactively define test strategies, scenarios, and automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage end-to-end testing for SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA procurement solutions
• Analyze business workflows and system behavior to define test coverage even with limited documentation
• Identify test scenarios, edge cases, dependencies, and integration impacts across procurement processes
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases (functional, regression, integration, E2E)
• Build and enhance reusable test automation frameworks (Playwright with Java/JavaScript preferred)
• Validate procurement processes including sourcing, contracts, supplier lifecycle, buying, catalogs, and invoicing
• Collaborate with product, development, and functional teams to clarify requirements and expected outcomes
• Track, document, and drive resolution of defects and quality issues
• Support release validation, regression cycles, production readiness, and post-release verification
• Contribute to root cause analysis and issue triage
• Support integration testing across SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, and connected systems
• Work within Agile/DevOps teams to improve quality practices
• Mentor junior QA team members when needed

Required Qualifications

• 5\+ years of QA / Test Automation / Quality Engineering experience
• 3\+ years of hands-on SAP Ariba experience (upstream and downstream procurement)
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA procurement or procure-to-pay / source-to-pay processes
• Strong understanding of procurement workflows such as:
• SAP Ariba Sourcing
• SAP Ariba Contracts
• Supplier Lifecycle \& Performance
• Buying \& Invoicing
• Catalogs and Invoice Management
• Strong ability to work independently with minimal documentation
• Experience writing test plans, test scenarios, and automation scripts
• Hands-on experience with Playwright (Java or JavaScript preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in defect management, regression testing, and E2E validation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Business Network
• Familiarity with SAP Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and DevOps toolchains
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP a plus)
• Agile/DevOps delivery experience
• Experience supporting production readiness and operational support
• Ability to lead QA efforts and guide team members
