Duration: 1\+ Year Contract (Long-Term, Extension Based on Business Need)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Scrum Master
to support the
Department of Health and Human Services Accounts Receivable and Collections (ARC) Project
. The Scrum Master will guide Agile teams, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove delivery impediments, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement while ensuring successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master for Agile software development teams supporting the MDHHS ARC Project.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Remove blockers and protect the development team from external distractions.
- Partner with Product Owners to manage backlog refinement, story prioritization, estimation, and sprint planning.
Required Qualifications
- 5\+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments.
- Hands-on experience facilitating Agile ceremonies.
- Experience with Agile lifecycle management tools such as
Azure DevOps, Jira, Rally, or VersionOne
.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum principles, Agile methodologies, and SDLC.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Project Manager.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience with Medical, Healthcare, Financial, or Accounts Receivable systems.
- Experience supporting enterprise financial or debt management applications.
- Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, Nexus, LeSS).
- Experience with API-driven, integration-heavy, or data-centric applications.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Understanding of regulatory and security standards such as PCI, SOC, FFIEC, or CFPB.
- Experience with payment processing, debt collection, or financial case management systems.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards, customer journey mapping, and Agile governance.
Work Schedule
- Hybrid:
Mandatory onsite every
Wednesday and Thursday
(non-negotiable).
- Remaining days may be remote.

Contract Details
- Duration:
