Pay:

$140,000 - $175,000 base salary with 20% bonus

Location:

Addison, TX (Hybrid; can be remote)

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to advanced security projects including threat intelligence, penetration testing, red teaming, threat modeling, breach, and attack simulations, all within a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment rooted in the financial industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 5\+ years of hands-on information security engineering experience
  • Experience in data security, data protection, or similar roles (3\+ years)
  • Background working within or closely with financial institutions preferred
  • Strong understanding of threat intelligence, penetration testing, red teaming, and breach simulations
  • Ability to work through complex roadblocks, patience for slower-paced environments, and adaptability to evolving challenges
  • Experience with source tools like SIEM platforms, data masking, and security automation
  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship provided

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and optimize logging infrastructure supporting SIEM and Security Operations teams
  • Monitor and tune SIEM performance for accurate detection and alerts
  • Implement and support identity and access management controls including MFA, SSO, federation, and PAM solutions
  • Lead incident investigations and coordinate response efforts
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal security standards
  • Collaborate with application developers and IT teams to improve security workflows
  • Conduct threat intelligence activities including penetration testing, red teaming, threat modeling, and breach simulations as needed
  • Partner with teams to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities and roadblocks in a complex financial environment
  • Support continuous improvement of security controls and capabilities
