Security Engineer
Pay:
$140,000 - $175,000 base salary with 20% bonus

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- 5\+ years of hands-on information security engineering experience
- Experience in data security, data protection, or similar roles (3\+ years)
- Background working within or closely with financial institutions preferred
- Strong understanding of threat intelligence, penetration testing, red teaming, and breach simulations
- Ability to work through complex roadblocks, patience for slower-paced environments, and adaptability to evolving challenges
- Experience with source tools like SIEM platforms, data masking, and security automation
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship provided
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize logging infrastructure supporting SIEM and Security Operations teams
- Monitor and tune SIEM performance for accurate detection and alerts
- Implement and support identity and access management controls including MFA, SSO, federation, and PAM solutions
- Lead incident investigations and coordinate response efforts
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal security standards
- Collaborate with application developers and IT teams to improve security workflows
- Conduct threat intelligence activities including penetration testing, red teaming, threat modeling, and breach simulations as needed
- Partner with teams to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities and roadblocks in a complex financial environment
- Support continuous improvement of security controls and capabilities
