Senior Accountant - English Speaker

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Morocco. The role will be responsible for keeping accounting records in accordance with accounting principles and company reporting procedures and ensuring the company's legal obligations are met on time.

Main Responsibilities:

• To ensure the accounting month closing, in compliance with local and Group procedures and local tax obligations.
• Preparation of ad-hoc accounting controls and management forms, tax planning and external legally required accounting audits.
• Day to day Treasury planning.
• Assist in the preparation of ad hoc financial analysis for senior management.
• Add value to the business by proactively doing Business Profitability Review and sharing best practices.
• Report financial status by implementing the Group’s monitoring tools, analyzing variances to budget / forecast / prior year. Propose the development of Reporting improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager Morocco.
• Ensure fluent communication with the Group’s Shared Service Center (SSC) based in Palma and Zurich.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in management, Economics or Accounting.
• Solid knowledge of Accounting (SNS) and Moroccan Tax System.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, or a role whose career path would logically develop into the Chief Accountant role.
• Advanced excel skills.
• Analytical skills.
• Good communication skills, able to build solid working relationships and teamwork.
• Spirit of initiative, dynamism, and responsibility.
• Fluent in English.
