Senior AI Security Engineer

We are recruiting a Senior AI Security Engineer for a permanent role within a rapidly growing technology organisation based in Austin, Texas. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity in a high-growth environment.

Role Overview

As a Senior AI Security Engineer, you will help secure AI-driven platforms, machine learning infrastructure, and cloud-native systems used in large-scale production environments. You will collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to design resilient, scalable, and secure systems supporting next-generation AI products and services.

This role is ideal for an engineer with experience across cloud security, automation, infrastructure, and modern AI technologies who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in fast-moving environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing security controls across AI/ML infrastructure and cloud environments

• Securing Kubernetes, containerised applications, and CI/CD pipelines

• Supporting AI platform security, model protection, and data governance initiatives

• Automating security monitoring, detection, and incident response processes

• Collaborating with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security into development workflows

• Performing cloud security reviews across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments

• Improving vulnerability management, threat detection, and platform resilience

• Supporting Zero Trust and identity security initiatives

Skills and Experience

Essential

• 5\+ years’ experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or DevSecOps engineering

• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

• Experience securing Kubernetes and containerised environments

• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible

• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps methodologies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desirable

• Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure or MLOps environments

• Knowledge of LLM security, AI governance, or model security concepts

• Experience with SIEM, EDR, and modern security tooling

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001

• Experience in high-growth SaaS, AI, or cloud-native environments
