Job Description
THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to partner closely with our Operations and Engineering teams to improve platform stability and drive practical process and tooling improvements.
This role is suited to someone who is strong at building trusted stakeholder relationships, running effective discovery, and translating day-to-day needs into clear delivery scope. You will work closely with key stakeholders and frontline teams to understand pain points, shape solutions, and support delivery through to adoption.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES
- Stakeholder partnership:
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, understand goals and constraints, and act as a trusted partner to help prioritise and deliver the most valuable improvements.
- Discovery \& problem definition
: Lead workshops and interviews to clarify problems, map current-state processes, identify root causes, and define measurable outcomes.
- Requirements \& scope definition:
Translate stakeholder needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and (where relevant) non-functional requirements.
- Backlog refinement \& prioritisation support:
Maintain a well-structured backlog, facilitate refinement sessions, and support prioritisation based on impact, risk, and urgency.
- Cross-functional coordination:
Coordinate across Product, Engineering, Credit, Sales and Finance to align on scope, dependencies, and delivery sequencing.
- Delivery support
: Support Engineering during delivery by clarifying requirements, managing scope changes, and ensuring traceability from problem → scope → delivered outcomes.
- UAT \& change support:
Plan and coordinate UAT with key stakeholders, define test scenarios, support rollout readiness, and ensure updates are adopted smoothly.
- Platform stability \& BAU improvements:
Help manage intake and triage of incidents/issues, ensure context is captured, and drive learnings into durable fixes and workflow improvements.
- Documentation \& enablement:
Maintain high-quality documentation (SOP updates, runbooks, release notes) and support enablement so teams can confidently use new processes and tooling.
THIS PERSON IS SOMEONE WITH
- Business analysis experience:
4–6\+ years as a Business Analyst (or similar), ideally in financial services, fintech, or operations-heavy environments.
- Stakeholder relationship skills:
Demonstrated ability to build trust with senior and frontline stakeholders, run effective workshops, and influence without relying on formal authority.
- Strong requirements practice:
Proven ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and to translate ambiguous needs into actionable scope.
- Process thinking:
Experience mapping workflows, identifying root causes and control points, and proposing pragmatic improvements.
- Analytical skills:
Able to use data (and qualitative insights) to validate problems, quantify impact, and measure outcomes.
- Communication:
Clear written and verbal communication, with an ability to explain complex scenarios simply and produce high-quality documentation.
