About the Role

TDA has issued a request for a Senior Business Analyst with 8\+ years leading complex system analysis, requirements documentation, and user acceptance testing in regulated environments. Candidates must have at least 1 year of direct experience with the Texas Automated Nutrition System (TANS) and writing system requirements aligned to federal child nutrition program compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate business systems and user needs, and design solutions that align with strategic objectives and improve operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and apply industry-standard methodologies to reengineer workflows using technology.
• Document user requirements, system functionalities, and perform solution analysis including cost-benefit, ROI, and build vs. buy evaluations.

Qualifications

• 8\+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst supporting complex system documentation and testing efforts.

Required Skills

• 8 Required Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar roles
• 5 Required Experience with agile methodology and user story analysis and serving as a liaison between Business and IT teams
• 1 Required Experience with the Texas Automated Nutrition System (TANS)
• 1 Required Experience with writing system requirements in compliance with federal child nutrition programs operated by TDA

Preferred Skills

• 5\+ years serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams across analysis, design, configuration, and UAT.
• Experience with a Texas State Agency.
• Direct experience with the Texas Automated Nutrition System (TANS) and writing requirements aligned to federal child nutrition program regulations.
