About the role

Th

e

Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

is a key role within the BI function, contributing to data-centric projects and deliverables to advance the department’s goals and initiatives.

The

Senior Analyst

will

utilize

their

well-rounded

business intelligence delivery experience to

oversee several key projects as well as working with the assigned development team, ensuring the BI solution is consistent with the architectural direction

utilizing

various visualization and database platforms.

The Senior Analyst provides technical

expertise

and guidance on these

projects;

while partnering with the Product Owners to ensure business requirements are met.

located

at our Dublin, OH campus with hybrid flexibility

or

may work remotely anywhere in the United States of America.

What you’ll do (Essential Responsibilities)

  • Champion data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout the department by designing and promoting best practices.
  • Organize and lead design, code \& process review sessions.
  • Focus and passion to deliver error-free analysis and reports.
  • Serve as SME and lead developer for key initiatives creating project plans with estimation and guiding the development team in best solution approach
  • Participate in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives.
  • Engage and partner with internal stakeholders and project managers to elicit and document functional and technical requirements; Provide recommendations where requirements aren’t clearly defined / known.
  • Prototype and iterate with internal stakeholders to help solidify requirements and expectations.
  • Utilize various approaches and technologies to gather and prepare data,

including:

query development (SQL Server, Snowflake) and using BI platforms like

QuickSight

, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, SSRS, etc.

  • Provide data analysis and design reports, dashboards and visualizations.
  • Perform rigorous unit testing and coordinate UAT where applicable to help ensure quality data products are delivered.
  • Partner with development operations to deploy business intelligence solutions.
  • Develop end user technical documentation, training materials and team cross-training.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring (Qualifications)

  • Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a data, analytics, technology, or business-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Experience

:

5\+ years in employer benefits or related field focused

in

analytics/business intelligence delivery

.

  • Extensive experience with BI/data exploratory or visualization tools (e.g.,

Quicksight

, Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, etc.).

  • Strong SQL query writing skills with experience working in a Microsoft SQL Server environment or Snowflake preferred.
  • Applied experience with Python for data analysis, data manipulation, and automation.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and database design principles.
  • Ability to organize, lead and

facilitate

meetings effectively as well as presenting dashboards or analytic

results.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills while

maintaining

a strategic mindset focused on the big picture.

  • Ability to work in

fast

-paced, ever-evolving environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable translating technical information to non-technical audiences at all levels of the business.
