Senior C# Full Stack Developer/NServiceBus Expert Needed at a Leading NYC Hedge Fund

Developer (Consultant)

LOCATION: NY Metro

Compensation: TBD, This is a contract position. You will sign a consulting agreement and be paid a per diem rate. Preference given to direct C2C candidates without a 3rd party.

WE NEED YOU:

We are seeking a strong mid- to senior-level developer to join our team supporting a large, technologically progressive hedge fund in midtown Manhattan. You should be able to work independently, adapt quickly, and consistently deliver high-quality software. The right candidate takes pride in their work, communicates clearly, and brings strong problem-solving skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect, build, and maintain distributed systems using NServiceBus and messaging best practices.
• Write clean, tested, well-documented code
• Deliver high-quality technical solutions with efficient time-to-market
• Participate in full life-cycle software development
• Design and implement robust RESTful APIs.
• Contribute ideas for new features and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate effectively across teams, including non-engineering groups

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Expert C# and .NET Framework
• Expert-level experience with NServiceBus, including sagas, message routing, retries, and distributed workflows.
• Experience designing and building .NET web applications and APIs
• Strong SQL Server experience and database design skills
• Experience with Git or similar version control
• Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, and other integration patterns
• Familiarity with MVC, MVP, MVVM
• Unit testing experience (NUnit, MSpec, etc.)
• Systems integration experience
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Messaging patterns and distributed system design
• Azure cloud migration or Azure services experience
• Blazor development
• ServiceStack experience
• Investran API knowledge
• Bloomberg integration experience
• Charles River experience
• Experience integrating with Wall Street Office (WSO)

Job Types: Contract, Full-time

Pay: From $600\.00 per day
